Flat Stanley makes a snow angel

Hello,

It has continued to snow here in Seattle and stay cold enough that the snow is not melting away. That means that there is snow around to play in.

 Check out all this snow.

That is kind of unusual and there is even a chance that today may set a new record for low temperatures.  One thing I learned that is the same about Seattle and Round Rock is that it doesn't snow here very often and when it does, not very many people go to work and kids don't have to go to school.   Since being here in Seattle with all of this snow is so different than being in Texas, I thought that I would try something that I can't do back there...making snow angels.

It is pretty simple and fun.  First I just flopped into the snow on my back.
I'm smiling but this is chilly.

Then once I was lying in the snow I just flapped my arms and legs back and forth to move the snow around under me.  I got some snow on my face while I was doing this and it started to melt. Brrrrr.

 Flap...flap...flap

Then, after all the flapping was over, I carefully got up so that I didn't disturb my angel and presto...Flat Stanley Snow Angel.

The snow is cold but it sure is fun.

I don't think this would be a good idea without my coat because it was verrry cold.  If you are going to try this, I think wearing a hat and mittens would be a good idea.  If you don't have any snow you might be able to try this at the beach with sand instead of snow.

Keep flapping friends.

-Stanley
